FBA, FBM or Seller Fulfilled Prime: which model when?

Three ways to get an order to a customer, and the right answer is usually a mix.

Two bites: how it works1 min readAll Deliver bites

FBA means Amazon fulfils your orders from its own warehouses. FBM, Fulfilled by Merchant, means you ship each order from your own operation: no FBA fees and full control, but no Prime badge by default. Seller Fulfilled Prime is the demanding middle path, where your own warehouse earns the badge by hitting Prime delivery standards, including weekends and nationwide next-day coverage.

Each model has a natural home. FBA suits fast-moving lines where the badge drives volume. FBM suits oversize, slow-moving or operationally sensitive products, and any stock that needs handling Amazon will not do.

The overlooked play is running both on the same listing. An FBM offer sitting behind your FBA offer keeps the listing alive and the rank intact when FBA stock runs dry, which is precisely when you need it most.

Reading about it is the slow way.
